Output Format

The Output Format is the format that is displayed when you have performed a Batch Job, and then the file is opened with that format. There are default output formats, and you can also create your own format and edit it at any time. When you save a format you have created, you can reuse that format over and over. If you want to create a new format, click the Create button to open the Create Output Format screen. If you want to edit the fields for the format you created, click the Edit button.

The default formats are

• Default dBase (file with a .dbf extension).
• Default HTML (file with a .html extension).
• Default MS Access (file with a .mdb extension).
• Default MS Excel (file with a .xls extension).
• Default Quotes and Commas. (This option is a text file that has Column Names in the First Row and the rest of the data is a string of text separated by quotes and commas).
• ICAPS - Interactive Computer-Aided Provisioning System. (This is a format of delimited fixed fields and is a custom Navy format.)
• ROMIS - Real-Time Outfitting Management Information System. (This is a format of fixed fields and is a custom Navy format.)

Note: Selecting MS Excel output limits you to approximately 65000 lines of data output. It is suitable for smaller batch runs while MS Access is best for large batches.
