APL Advanced Search

The Advanced Search button on the APL database search screen is used to refine your search.

The Advanced Search button expands the page, and the Return to Basic Search button contracts the page.

Each criteria field represents one line of data from Segment B and should contain only information found on the same line within Segment B.

To do an APL Advanced search

  1. Go to Database, Navy, and then select APL/AEL.
  2. Enter ac motor in the Nomenclature Keywords field. The result lists includes 2500 records.
You can use the APL Advanced Search feature to refine your search.
  3. To refine your search, click the Back To Search button and return to the search page.
  4. Click the Advanced Search button at the bottom of the APL Search screen.
  5. In the Criteria 1 field, enter tncz. A full-text search is performed and returns a result of 6 records, which fit that criteria. (The number of records may be a different number when you do the search due to changes, but the number will be significantly smaller than the original search results.)
