APL Advanced Search
The More Search Options button on the APL
Allowance Parts List - the Navy's general distribution list. database search window is used to refine your search.
Each criteria field represents one line of data from Segment B and should contain only information found on the same line within Segment B.
To do an APL Advanced search
- Click Database > US USP UNIT (Unit of Measure). Navy > APL Allowance Parts List - the Navy's general distribution list./AEL Allowance Equipment List - the Navy's list for Trident submarines..
- Type ac motor in the Nomenclature Allowance Parts/Equipage List Nomenclature is a set or group of alphanumeric words or symbols that describe the equipment, component or equipage assigned an APL or AEL identification number. The following develops the nomenclature:
1. Material Systems Command personnel, or other designated activities
2. Shipyard and fleet personnel
3. ICP technicians
Nomenclature is based on applicable engineering drawings, nameplate data, and/or technical publications. Keywords field.
The result lists includes oar 4,000 records.
Use the APL Allowance Parts List - the Navy's general distribution list. Advanced Search feature to refine your search. - To refine your search, click Back To Search and return to the search window.
- Click More Search Options at the bottom of the APL Allowance Parts List - the Navy's general distribution list. Search window.
- In the Criteria 1 field, type tn.
A full-text search is performed and returns a result of over 30 records, which fit that criteria. The number of records may be a different number when you do the search due to changes, but the number is significantly smaller than the original search results.
