AMDF
The AMDFArmy Master Data File - commonly used supply management data to perform logistics functions related to assigned mission responsibilities. AMDF can be used to do the following:
1. Verify Prescribed Load Lists (PLL), Authorized Stockage Lists (ASL), and Asset Balance Files (ABF).
2. Identify related National Stock Number (NSN)/Management Control Number (MCN) information.
3. Find interchangeable/substitute item data and history data. provides the most commonly used supply management data necessary to perform logistics functions. The file is used to:
- Verify Prescribed Load Lists, Authorized Stockage Lists, and Asset Balance Files
- Identify related NSN
National Stock Number - a 13-digit number assigned to a part under the Federal Cataloging Program. The first four digits of the NSN are the Federal Supply Class (FSC) of the part. The last nine digits are the National Item Identification Number (NIIN) of the part./MCN
Management Control Number - reparable items that are the head of a family of interchangeable items. information
- Obtain information on interchangeability/substitutability and historical data to support the operations listed above
- Verify current pricing.
To do an AMDF search
- Click Database > Army > AMDF.
- Type Q19339 in the LIN
Line Item Number - one alpha character followed by five numeric characters assigned to a specific name (generic nomenclature) of an item that is not consumed or destroyed when used. They are used for accounting purposes. All active LINs are listed in the semi-annual SB700-20 publication. field, and then click Search.
